This sweet stop-motion video tells the story of a woman’s journey during pregnancy
If sophisticated pregnancy photoshoots aren’t your thing, couple Matan and Shani Maivar Tamarkin have another great idea for documenting your pregnancy experience. When Shani got pregnant, the two created an adorable stop-motion movie depicting her growing tummy. The film, called Nine month tale, brilliantly condenses Shani’s entire pregnancy in just 48 seconds.
At the start of the film, Matan is seen blowing air into a large balloon, which he then hands to Shani. As the video progresses, she appears to be sucking air from the balloon. As the balloon deflates, her belly gets bigger. So smart! Most of the video is filmed in their home, with a post-it on the wall marking each week of her pregnancy as she goes by, but we also get a quick edit of Shani having adventures with the ball. Viewers can also enjoy random on-camera appearances by the couple’s dog, Shemtov, and upbeat music to keep it all going.
The best part of the video is that it doesn’t end with Shani’s pregnancy. The couple’s new son, Yonatan, was “born” in the video with the help of Matan and a Cupid-style bow and arrow (see it to believe it.) He makes a valuable appearance in her parents’ arms, and that’s enough to melt even the coldest hearts. The video is almost too cute for words, and apparently others agree, as it has received over 54,000 views since it was first published. See it for yourself below!
