the sonic the hedgehog The LEGO set is one of the latest ways for fans to show their love for the long-running platforming series. As if building the set wasn’t taking enough time, a fan created a stop-motion video of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog building the set himself.

Many years ago, LEGO launched its “Ideas” initiative, a service that allowed builders to create fictitious sets, share them online and support others if they so wished. Sets that receive 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas are then eligible to potentially be made into a real set, as the LEGO design team logistically considers whether this is something worth pursuing. The LEGO Sonic the set was originally launched with Sonic Mania, featuring the Hard-Boiled Heavy robot gang as well as Dr. Robotnik’s mech, among other nods. In the end, LEGO went with a more traditional set, allowing builders to create Green Hill Zone and collect the Chaos Emeralds.

GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

RELATED: Lego Sonic the Hedgehog Set Release Date Revealed

LEGO builder and animator TheJumiFilm has constructed a brilliant stop-motion video of Sonic both building and walking through his LEGO set. The level of creativity displayed here is staggering as TheJumiFilm depicts the LEGO Sonic minifigure coming to life, dashing around the kitchen table and assembling Green Hill Zone. There are instances where Sonic builds like he did in LEGO Dimensions, with coins appearing on the board as he moves his hands, but there are also times when Sonic runs around the board in a blur, coins being applied with each pass. A highlight of the video is when Sonic builds the bridge, pouring LEGO water into the expanse.

Just when you think the video is about to end as Sonic finishes building, TheJumiFilm has one last trick in store. It makes sense that after building Green Hill Zone, Sonic wanders around his favorite haunts, and TheJumiFilm delivers just that.

Sonic starts above his live meter and heads to the right, destroying the Crabmeat robot, running through the loop, and bouncing off a spring to collect rings. There’s also a nice attention to detail, with the crabmeat not just vanishing from the set, but vanishing in a cloud of LEGO smoke, and the blue checkpoint turning red once Sonic passes it.

Building a LEGO set with pieces as tiny as this can be a laborious experience, so for TheJumiFilm to do it all while creating a stop-motion video is incredible. In some cases, it’s not as simple as starting and stopping the camera and changing one aspect but several, probably extending the build time of the set considerably.

TheJumiFilm’s work caught the attention of the official Sonic YouTube account, commenting on the video, “Like looking at yourself in a mirror! So smooth, great job on that!” To be recognized by sonic the hedgehog itself is probably a nice bonus then, in addition to the satisfaction of creating such a project.

This is the incredible stop motion video that an artist created from more than a thousand photographs.

Callum Cutler’s project Shapeshift features images of Brighton and Hove, including stones along the shore, flowers and beach huts, as well as footage from all over London.

The Brighton-born artist’s video has already garnered nearly 2,000 views on Instagram in less than 24 hours.

Callum said: “I have always been someone who created things. Since I was 13, I was making videos to be creative and wanted to do something different than I had ever done before.

“I wanted to film Brighton and London in a way I had never seen before.

“When I first started editing I was doing little stop motion transitions in videos, so I wanted to bring that back but do it more professionally. ”

Callum said he took over 3,000 frames for the project, which he’s been working on for more than six months, which he reduced to just over a thousand, with each frame making up one frame of the video of about one. minute.

“It’s been a lot of work and a lot of hours put into it, but it’s a hobby, so it’s not something that looks like work – it’s something I do for fun. “, did he declare.

While a lot of time was spent finding the location or object to be filmed, Callum said many hours went into the delicate alignment of each frame over the next to create the animation in stop motion of the video.

At the end of the project, Callum said he had covered all over Brighton and beyond for photos to be featured.

He said: “The things I was shooting were very specific. You have to find items that have square patterns, for example, and there are only a limited number that are good enough to capture.

“There was a lot of scouting and traveling on my bike looking for things that would suit me. ”

In Shapeshift, Callum hopes to capture some of the beauty of the everyday world that might be overlooked, with drone shots and regular shots capturing a view of the two cities that has never been seen before.

Going forward, Callum will invest his time and effort in a new production role at London-based media start-up OCD Studios.

Stop motion artist Lawrence Becker creates a video The Nightmare Before Christmas showing Sally creating a Jack Skellington pumpkin lantern.

The nightmare before Christmas comes alive once again in a new stop-motion video featuring Jack Skellington as a true Jack-o-Lantern. The nightmare before Christmas is perhaps the most iconic stop-motion film ever made and a staple of the holiday season, bridging the gap between October and December. Although the film was produced by Tim Burton, whose name is most often associated with the project, it was directed by Henry Selick, the man behind James and the giant peach and Coraline, another must-have for the Halloween season.

The tracks of The nightmare before Christmas are Jack and Sally, two residents of Halloween Town. Jack is known as the “Pumpkin King” and leads the annual Halloween celebrations, although when he wants to explore his options, he discovers Christmas and develops a plot to kidnap “Sandy Claws”. Sally is a rag doll with an unrequited crush on Jack, but she helps him save Christmas from the villainous Oogie Boogie and Sally and Jack end up falling in love.

On his Instagram, stop motion artist Lawrence Becker, in collaboration with Disney +, released a new Nightmare before christmas– the stop motion video on the theme. It’s a brief piece, depicting Sally’s hand using a needle and thread to carve a Jack-o-Lantern by Jack Skellington. The video was made with the help of sculptor Katy Strutz, who created Sally’s arm and the nightshade pot. Lawrence also posted a fascinating time-lapse behind-the-scenes video of all the steps it took to bring the short video to life. Check out the two videos below:

Click here to view the original post and click here to view the BTS video

Jack and Sally are such iconic characters that it’s hard to imagine anyone could create anything new with them. They have been seen on an endless variety of Halloween costumes and pumpkin carvings in the 28 years since the film’s release in 1993. They can even be seen on merchandise at stores like Hot Topic all year round. . Every element of the film has been probed for all it’s worth, and even Danny Elfman’s songs from the soundtrack have been revived and reimagined dozens of times each, most recently in one. Nightmare before christmas cover by Billie Eilish.

However, thanks to the careful care of Becker and Strutz, they proved that The nightmare before Christmas still has legs. That is, assuming we have the time and talent to bring their forms back to life in stop motion. It is certainly a fun Halloween treat to see the legacy of the film continue to grow and bring fans something they have never seen before as they prepare to sit down and take it out. review for the hundredth time.

A screenshot from the “Phantom of the Raptor” video.

“Phantom of the Raptor” is a breathtaking slow-motion video of the F-22 demonstration flight.

If you like the F-22 Raptor then sit down. You’re about to watch what is arguably the best Raptor video ever. It was filmed in 2020 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, during a demonstration flight of the US Air Force F-22 “Raptor” piloted by Major Joshua “Cabo” Gunderson.

“Cabo”, who succeeded Major Paul “Loco” Lopez as the leader of the demonstration team, participated in the JBER Salutes in March 2020 and the F-22 Raptor demonstration team exhibition, the The world’s first dedicated 5th generation fighter aircraft demo unit and the world’s only single-engine, twin-engine, vector-thrust demo unit was filmed with a Phantom Flex4K at 1000 frames per second from the open door of a UH-60 “Black Hawk” helicopter hovering at approximately 3,000 feet.

1000 FPS is considered super slow motion: In general, slow motion video works by shooting at a very high frames per second (FPS) rate, then playing it back at a much slower rate. This creates dramatic sequences where the action is very slowed down.

The end result in this case is a superb slow-mo footage that shows the F-22 maneuvering over the base in Alaska.

In fact, parts of the clips, mixed with footage shot from inside the cockpit with a 360-degree camera, had already been included in another work, titled “INSANE F-22 Raptor Hype Video”, footage posted by the F-22. Raptor Demo Team on their Youtube channel in November 2020.

In my opinion, while the previous video was awesome, “Phantom of the Raptor,” featuring slow-motion cinematography from creator Dustin Farrell, is simply a work of art.

Take a look and judge for yourself:

Since 1996 he has written for major global magazines including Air Forces Monthly, Combat Aircraft and many more, covering aviation, defense, war, industry, intelligence, crime and cyber warfare. Stop-motion artist Lawrence Becker shares a new video for The Addams Family 2 featuring a spooky Thing Lurch pumpkin carving.

Stop-motion artist Lawrence Becker shares new video for The Addams Family 2 with a scary Lurch Thing pumpkin carving. Based on the characters originally created by Charles Addams, the first animated film turned out to be a surprise box office success in 2019, although reviews were mixed. The film’s financial success would see United Artists Releasing choose to go ahead with a sequel with original directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon returning to the helm.

The Addams Family 2 sees the titular family go on a road trip in an effort by Morticia and Gomez to bond a bit more with their children before they grow up and leave their parents. The film saw the return of voice stars Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and Snoop Dogg as well as franchise newcomers Javon Walton, Wallace Shawn and Bill Hader. After numerous delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the film was released in theaters and digital platforms on October 1.

In the wake of the film’s release, Becker teamed up with The Addams Family 2studio to create a special stop-motion video for the animated sequel. The video sees Thing ringing a doorbell carved from a small pumpkin, which summons Lurch to a larger pumpkin nearby who then scares the disembodied hand. Check out the artistic video below:

Stop-motion video for The Addams Family 2 is certainly a cute extension of the movie’s hijinks, though it actually has an interesting connection to the franchise’s past. Prior to the start of development of the MGM animated films, Tim Burton was developing a stop-motion adaptation of The Addams Family for Illumination Entertainment on which he would co-write, co-produce and possibly direct, although it is quietly canceled during development. The goth director will get a second chance on the material, however, as he’s set to helm the Netflix series. Wednesday with Jenna Ortega as the Addams Girl.

Becker’s stop-motion video for The Addams Family 2 may also be a better treat for critics than the movie itself. Sitting at a low 23% review approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the animated sequel has seen generally worse reviews than its predecessor, with reviews primarily aimed at its brighter humor and story, a further departure from the source material. . The film is not without its fans, however, as it is currently 69% approved by audiences at Rotten Tomatoes, who generally agree that the film will satisfy young viewers. The public can decide who to side with as The Addams Family 2 is now available in PVOD and theaters.

This new Lego MTB video from TotalMTB and Marmot Animation is actually pretty cool. It depicts a ride with friends and all the good vibes that come with it. We recently had a conversation with Ryan from TotalMTB about the association and how it all started.

Make sure you take the time to do the same. Call your friends and go for a walk, it’s good for you!

A friend of mine loves doing stuff with Lego and also making video content, so he started doing stop motion video with Lego. He is extremely talented not only with video, but also with storylines.

I’m always on the lookout for new, fresh, yet engaging content to spread awareness of TotalMTB’s values and what we do, as well as our important mental health message. Most people love Lego and it seemed like a smart, engaging video to promote mountain biking and its benefits.

I gave Marmot a fairly open brief. It starts with someone stressed out at work, messaging friends to take a ride and the ride de-stresses the rider. The file also contained a few words of inspiration to try and include in the video.

I had no idea what the video was going to be other than that including Lego, and have to say I couldn’t be happier with what he came up with and the final video. I think it shows and gets across exactly what we want.
