ZED_Modding shared a video showcasing a brand new graphics mod for Grand Theft Auto 5 called V-Reloaded. V-Reloaded promises to improve the game’s graphics, which many PC gamers will appreciate. After all, and at least for now, Rockstar has no plans to bring the new next-gen features of GTA5 to PC.

According to the modder, V-Reloaded features improved time cycles, 16K Water and 16K NASA Moon. Additionally, it will have 4K Water Sea Foam and 4K Bullet Shot Glass.

Additionally, PC gamers can expect lifelike color saturation, adaptive exposure, and realistic shadows. The modder also improved the exhaust backfire, engine-damaging smoke, and reworked the pools.

Unfortunately, this mod does not appear to feature 4K textures for pedestrians or environments. It’s a shame because it will immediately make this mod inferior to other graphics mods, such as Grand Theft Auto 5: Definitive Edition or GTA5 NaturalVision: Evolved.

But anyway, V-Reloaded is in an early access phase.

A video clip of what is allegedly a full-size physical unit of an Intel ARC Alchemist graphics card, recently found its way onto the internet. The video was first posted to Twitter via an Ayxerious (@ayxerious) and is currently one of the most detailed glimpses we’ve had of the chipmaker’s unreleased board, to date.

The clip itself is very short but based on what we see we can assume several points regarding the supposed ARC card. First, the box the user received it in appears to be generic, with the standard hard foam inside for card protection. Later in the video we can see that the back of the board lacks a backplate and the PCB is actually shorter than the overall length of its cooling solution; its heatsink can be seen extending beyond its cooling subject.

On the front, we get a brief look at the dual-fan setup, with Intel branding above each fan’s pivot point. For ports, the card appears to be equipped with what we assume are two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Beyond that, there are no other details on the card. However, a photo of the back of the purported card posted by Bionic Squash (@SquashBionic) – based on the images, we can safely assume that the picture-in-picture and short clips are identical – shows that the PCB is equipped with is likely to be eight GDDR6 memory chip, although we are not sure of the capacity.

With Intel’s ARC Alchemist scheduled to launch this year, it’s only fitting that the frequency of these leaks will increase, at least until the new GPU series has officially debuted. So, that being said, apply skepticism.

There may be a silver lining to the dark cloud represented by the recent cryptocurrency crash. The prices of gaming equipment manufactured by NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD) finally seem to be down thanks to crypto.

What happened

The fall in prices of Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) by 50% of their November value leads to an erosion of the prices of graphics cards (GPUs) used for video games.

Tom’s Hardware collected price data during the week of late December and compared it to last week. In comparison we see the average prices of the graphics cards indicated on eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY). We watched the prices of AMD and Nvidia in particular.

An Nvidia GEForce RTX3080 from 10 GBwas worth an average of $1,804.28 between December 20-27 on eBay, it sold for $1,595.41 in the week of January 17-24 – a drop of 11.6%.

Here too Radeon RX6600 AMD saw a price drop of 11.6% over the same period: the price of the graphics card fell from $586.89 to $518.66.

In terms of 1080p gaming performance, the RX 6600 rivals Nvidia’s graphics card RTX-3060 from 12 GB and it’s just 4% slower (in games without ray tracing), according to Tom’s Hardware.

On eBay, the 12GB RTX 3060 goes for $705, which is significantly higher than AMD’s offering, according to the data.

Because it matters

On average, almost all graphics cards have lost 5% of their price, while according to data from Tom’s Hardware the RTX 3090s, 10GB RTX 3080s and RX 6600s have fallen by more than 10%.

The number of graphics card sales also took a hit; the drop is generalized, with a few exceptions represented by the RTX 3090 and RTX 3070Ti.

Last year, Nvidia introduced graphics chips for cryptocurrency mining; During previous crypto bulls, a boom in the demand for graphics cards was observed, followed by a subsequent decline.

According to Tom’s Hardware, if the crypto decline continues and graphics card production increases due to the ever-decreasing shortage of ABF substrates (a key element), it is predictable that graphics card prices will continue to fall.

AMD has released the entry-level Radeon Pro W6400 workstation graphics card. AMD is targeting workstation users who don’t need the grunt of the faster, more expensive W6600 or W6800 cards.

The W6400 packs the RDNA2 Navi 24 6nm GPU with 768 cores and it comes with 4GB of GDDR6 RAM, dual DisplayPort connectors and delivers up to 3.5 TFLOPs of FP32 and 7.0 TFLOPs of FP16 performance. These aren’t stellar numbers, but there are some highlights, as the card boasts a TDP of just 50W, meaning it doesn’t require an external power connector. It’s also a low-profile, single-slot card, which means it’s easy to install on even the most basic OEM machines.
