Lenovo announces Thinkpad P14s and P15v mobile workstations

Today at SIGGRAPH 2022, Lenovo announced the addition of two new mobile workstations to its expanded AMD-powered workstation product portfolio, continuing the company’s collaboration to develop innovative systems.

The company unveiled the new ThinkPad P15v and ThinkPad P14, designed for creators who “demand more value.” The ThinkPad P15v bridges the price and performance gap between entry-level and high-end workstations by including the most powerful AMD Ryzen™ PRO 6000 H-Series mobile processors with integrated security features, graphics NVIDIA professionals and a 15.6-inch UHD display. The ThinkPad P14s, Lenovo’s most mobile workstation, features the latest AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 U-series processors with next-gen Radeon™ PRO integrated graphics, delivering on-the-go power at an accessible price. It enables creative production “anytime and anywhere, all in a portable 14-inch chassis.” For users looking for more screen real estate without sacrificing mobility, the ThinkPad P16s, launched earlier this year, offers the same features as its smaller cousin, but in a 16-inch form factor. All of these mobile workstations have been tested to the highest standard to meet MIL-SPEC standards.

Lenovo will also showcase the ThinkStation P620, which debuted in 2020 and remains the only AMD Ryzen Threadripper™ PRO-powered desktop workstation available and shipping today. Powered by leading studio DreamWorks Animation, the ThinkStation P620 is designed to be the most versatile workstation on the market, eliminating bottlenecks to allow performance to scale and user productivity to soar while running a variety of multi-threaded applications. This includes support for up to two NVIDIA RTX™ A6000 or four RTX A4000 graphics cards, six PCIe Gen 4 expansion slots for maximum configuration flexibility, and a large 33L chassis for better airflow and better thermal management.

Lenovo’s extensive AMD-based workstation portfolio ranges from a pair of lightweight contenders to a balanced mobile workstation in price and performance, from a high-powered tower to a value desktop workstation. added. All of these machines are ISV-certified to provide peace of mind when handling the most demanding workflows and provide more choices to better serve Lenovo customers across all industries.

You can see the full portfolio – the ThinkStation P620, ThinkStation P358, ThinkPad P15v, ThinkPad P14s and ThinkPad P16s – at AMD’s booth (#819) at SIGGRAPH. More details on Lenovo’s broader workstation portfolio can be found at: https://techtoday.lenovo.com/ca/en/workstations.
